Self-Paced Blender 3D Modeling & Animation for Beginners is a project-based digital art course where students learn Blender at their own pace by creating and animating a 3D sword from start to finish.

This class is designed for beginners with no prior 3D experience required. Through clear, step-by-step video lessons, students learn essential Blender skills including 3D navigation, modeling with vertices and faces, materials and shading, lighting, and basic animation using keyframes. The self-paced format makes this course ideal for homeschool learners, flexible schedules, and independent study. Students can pause, rewind, and revisit lessons as needed while completing a portfolio-ready final project. Instruction aligns with the National Core Arts Standards (NCAS) in Visual Arts and Media Arts, emphasizing creative process, technical skill development, reflection, and real-world application. Students are encouraged to personalize their sword design, supporting creativity and individual expression.
