Polymer Clay Artist
I’m Ms. Lori, a lifelong artist and art educator with a passion for making art history fun, visual, and inspiring for young learners.
I hold a B.F.A. in Fashion Design, as well as A.A.S. degrees in Illustration/Art History and Graphic Design. In addition to teaching, I’ve worked as a Special Effects Artist, bringing imagination and creativity to life through art and design.
My classes are designed to help students see how artists communicate ideas, emotion, and identity through their work — and to inspire learners to find their own creative voices.
I believe that every student can connect with art when it’s presented with enthusiasm, curiosity, and a sense of discovery.

Throughout my studies, I developed a solid foundation in programming languages, including Java, JavaScript, C#, Python, HTML, and CSS. In one of my school projects, I co-developed a browser-based fantasy survival game called Ye Olde Onslaught. I worked with a team of two others over the course of three months, using JavaScript to create enemy characters and AI, as well as the user interface. This was supported through our use of the Agile Software Development Cycle to keep our team on track. This experience strengthened my ability to design engaging user interactions while collaborating closely with my team.
I am proficient in tools like GitHub, Visual Studio Code, Eclipse, and Unity.
